Junior section results 28-03-08 under 10s
The under 10's forgot to put their clocks forward last night as it wasnt until the 2nd half when they came to life. In the first half though they did play well for periods but some strong defence from Loughor kept them out. With some great work being done at the ruck by Calum Renshaw and Dylan Burke with Calum coming up with the ball on numerous occasions. After a half time roasting sorry team talk the home team came out with a renewed vigour. Some big carries from Jamie Jones and Nathan Davies ...

Junior section results 28-03-08
Our 8's, 9's and 10s went into battle with their counterparts from Loughor.

Under 8's
In this very entertaining game both sides gave everything but it was Loughor who came away with the spoils 8 tries to 5. But talking to Keith Taylor afterwards it was a whole team performance with a few standout players.Lead from the front again and i better spell her name right or there will be more comments made on here Aimee Stewart scored another try and secured numerous tags and bagged her...

Under 11's

Lead by their coach Geraint Evans the 11's went into battle with their Dunvant counterparts. in a tough game the 11s were unlucky to come up against a Dunvant side that was on top of its game although in the last 10 minutes of the first half their was certainly enough evidence that Geraints team is going in the right direction when asked in the post match interview by sky sports news Geraint said that there was alot of positives to be taken out of todays game. Not only a tr...

Under 10's
In one of the toughest u10 games that i have seen in along time, Penlan can come away feeling very unlucky not to win this one. The first half was very tough the Dunvant massive came out to physically dominate the home side but it didnt work. Although they scored 2 converted tries early on through 2 lapses of concentration from the Penlan defence. Then as if someone turned on the floodlights the home side burst into life. With 2 minutes left in the first half Penlan were camped ...

Well Well Well its been awhile since i wrote my last match report for the juniors but here goes a new start.

Penlan v Dunvant u'8s

Lead into battle by their Headcoach Keith Taylor the u'8s took to the field to take on their Dunvant counterparts, in a close game in which it was nip and tuck all the way the team was very unlucky to come up short on the day (no pun intended Keith). The day however belonged to Amy Stewart who bagged her sides 2 tries one of which could have gr...

Penclawdd V Penlan 10s & 11s Match Reports 15/2/09
from Bryn Steel

Under 10’s

After a week of snow, ice and cancellations the Six Nations is under way as are Penlan U10’s.  Our committed Six turned up to play on a pitch that was as wide as it was long.  With only Six players per team it was a day for the backs and they didn’t disappoint.  The game itself ended with three tries a-piece but it was the team work the players showed that allowed it to be so hotly contested....

PENLAN v SOUTH GOWER 25/1/9 MATCH REPORT
MATCH REPORT FROM BRYNMOR STEEL U10's HEAD COACH

Unlike Bath V Toulouse that same afternoon the matches between Penlan U10’s & 11’s V S. Gower was played in perfect conditions – the sun was out and the pitch was muddy.

But before the report I must apologise to Michael Kyte for mis-spelling his name in the previous match report-sorry.

The under 10’s were full of high spirits after their win last weekend and it was nice to see Nathan Davies back from illness and p...

Gowerton V Penlan U10’s Match Report

What a weekend fans have had of action packed rugby; Ospreys narrowly missing out to Perpignan, Blues showing heart against Gloucester, Penlan Seniors demonstrating why they’re top of the league against Pantyffynnon and Penlan U10’s winning away against Gowerton.

The U10’s started out full of vigour on a glorious January morning, the pitch conditions were perfect and the size long and...
